Lenyn Sosa went 3-for-3 for the White Sox, including an RBI single in the eighth.
Chicago has won the first game in each of its four series since the All-Star break and is 7-3 out of the break overall.
Philadelphia fell two games behind the New York Mets for first place in the National League East. The Mets were set to play later Monday.
Montgomery, a rookie, delivered his fourth home run in the past six games with a game-tying, two-run blast against Phillies left-hander Cristopher Sanchez in the third inning. Montgomery added a run-scoring single to finish 2-for-4 with three RBIs.
Robert connected for a go-ahead, two-run blast to the opposite field in the fourth as Chicago struck against Sanchez, a National League Cy Young award contender, in key spots. Sanchez (9-3) had allowed four earned runs in 30 1/3 innings over his past four starts entering Monday.
The White Sox reached him for four runs and seven hits in 6 2/3 innings. Sanchez walked one and struck out five.
Philadelphia took an early lead when Bryce Harper grounded a two-run double with two outs in the third. Martin retired the first seven Phillies before surrendering consecutive singles to the bottom two hitters in the lineup and walking Kyle Schwarber to load the bases ahead of Harper.
Harper and Brandon Marsh collected two hits apiece for Philadelphia. Miguel Vargas had two hits for Chicago.
Martin (3-8) limited the Phillies to two runs and six hits with three walks and seven strikeouts. He also helped his effort defensively. With two on and two out in the fifth, Martin dove to scoop Nick Castellanos' soft grounder to the left side, then rose to his feet to throw Castellanos out at first base.
Chicago relievers Jordan Leasure, Steven Wilson and Grant Taylor combined to retire 10 of the 11 batters they faced.
Philadelphia stranded seven runners and struck out 11 times.
