Ingram is tied with Tristan Jarry of the Pittsburgh Penguins and Thatcher Demko of the Vancouver Canucks for the most shutouts in the NHL this season.
Matias Maccelli scored in the second period for the Coyotes, who won two challenges on potential game-tying, third-period goals by San Jose.
Kaapo Kahkonen made 23 saves for the Sharks, who were shut out for the fifth time this season. San Jose had won three of its past four games and had been 6-2-1 in its past nine.
Maccelli collected his sixth goal of the season at 14:45 of the middle period.
J.J. Moser took a wrist shot from just above the left circle that was blocked by Sharks defenseman Jan Rutta. The carom went diagonally to Maccelli in front of the crease, and he swiped the puck into the net before Kahkonen could slide over.
Shortly after killing the third of four Arizona power plays, San Jose appeared to tie the score at 7:40 of the third period when William Eklund put a rebound into the net.
The Coyotes challenged for goalie interference, claiming Luke Kunin's right leg made contact with Ingram's stick and right pad as he skated through the crease on the shot just prior to the goal.
They play was reviewed and the goal was waved off.
Arizona challenged for offside after Mikael Granlund appeared to tie it with 3:59 left, and that goal was overturned as well.
Coyotes center Jack McBain returned for after missing the previous 15 games with a lower-body injury, but defenseman Sean Durzi missed his third straight game with a lower-body injury.
The Sharks placed forward Nico Sturm on injured reserve. They will fill his roster spot with forward Jack Studnicka, who was acquired on Friday from the Vancouver Canucks in exchange for defenseman Nick Cicek and a 2024 sixth-round draft pick.
