Cops: Belligerent Alex Morgan Causes Scene At Disney World, Namedrops Orlando's SWAT Team
Photo: Christopher Lee/ [object Object] A group of American-based soccer players, including the USWNT and Orlando Pride’s Alex Morgan, were escorted out of Disney World’s EPCOT last Sunday for being impaired and verbally aggressive, according to an Orange County Sheriff’s incident report.
The group also included Giles Barnes and Donny Toia of MLS’s Orlando City SC, as well as Toia’s wife, Courtney. According to the report, trouble began when Barnes had an argument with another patron at the U.K. pub in EPCOT, and as police were going to escort Barnes out of the park, they were told that managers also needed help removing several other people. Morgan had posted an Instagram picture from the park with a large group of people earlier that day.
The report says that Morgan was “yelling, screaming and taken (sic) video and possibly pictures.”
“She appeared to be highly impaired,” one officer wrote in the report, which goes on to say that Morgan “made a loud verbal statement that she knows the Orlando SWAT team.” She sent out an apologetic tweet this morning:
