CSU-Air Force Rivalry Leads To Brawl, Punch, Headlock, Ejection
Colorado State and Air Force have long held a bitter MWC rivalry, and it came to a head early in the second half today in Colorado Springs as a loose ball led to a headlock, spine punch, three technical fouls, and an ejection.
Rams forward J.J. Avila sparked the incident, got the worst of it, but somehow avoided earning one of those technical fouls and earned one of the technical fouls. Air Force guard Matt Mooney earned disqualification for punching Avila in the back.
Officials took 17 minutes to sort out the punishments and administer the technical foul free throws.
