Damian Lillard Finishes Off Lakers With Last-Second Shot
Via [object Object] Damian Lillard drained a three-pointer as the clock’s final seconds ticked down in a tie game to boost the Blazers over the Lakers.
L.A. fell behind early, down by 16 at the end of the first quarter and bottoming out at an 18-point deficit. But they managed to cut the margin to just four points by halftime and took a small lead in the third, leading to plenty of back-and-forth action in the fourth.
Brook Lopez led the Lakers with 27 points, while Kyle Kuzma came off the bench for 22. Despite leading for the majority of the fourth quarter, though, they couldn’t close it out. Lillard, who led Portland in scoring with 32 points, was a big part of that throughout—and especially at the buzzer:
