Daniel Negreanu Is Finally Coming to Hustler Casino Live

After what has felt like forever in waiting, Daniel Negreanu is finally taking a seat at Hustler Casino Live. The LA-based stream, poker’s premier high-stakes cash game show, confirmed that Kid Poker will make his HCL bow on Friday, August 28.

It’s a big change for a player who has solely focused on PGT circuit and the World Series of Poker. The eight-time bracelet winner and Hall of Famer is now getting back into the televised cash game mix for the first time in years, playing the $100/$200 game with a proposed $50,000 minimum buy-in.

To anyone paying attention, this has been pencilled in for a while. In March 2025, the NSUS Group (owner of GGPoker and the WSOP) bought Nick Vertucci’s stake after his infamous exit. With Negreanu being the GGPoker poster boy, it only makes sense that they would come together.

HCL could not resist promoting the game with some AI slop, showing a video of the show’s regulars in some kind of gospel choir, praising the arrival of Kid Poker. Negreanu himself even called it ridiculous.

The lineup for the show is an interesting one. Regulars like Nik Airball, 3Coin, Dr H, Chicago Steve and Sam “Senor Tilt” Kiki are involved, plus the long-awaited return of LA cash game legend Andy Tsai. Andy was a legend of the Live at the Bike streams before he disappeared from HCL in 2024, ending an almost seven year run of being a regular in the game.

One dynamic worth watching will be how Airball takes on Negreanu. Nik is known for his loud, brash and combative style at the table, and has never been shy about stirring the pot, especially if you nitroll with pocket Kings. He also has a distaste for tournament players, saying before: “tourney players all suck, this is free money if I’ve ever seen it.” He went after Kristen Foxen when she played the HCL stream, and now he gets a shot at one of the most accomplished tournament players in the game’s history.

One name fans will notice missing is the ever-present Alan Keating, one of the biggest action players in the game. His absence will raise eyebrows given the tension between him and Negreanu stemming back to 2025 when Keating called out Negreanu to come play the HCL Million Dollar Game, which started a back-and-forth between the pair.

The game will start at $100/$200 but will undoubtedly get bigger and looser as it progresses. Between Andy’s return, Airball v Negreanu and the craziness in between, this has the makings of a very fun cash game.
