Deadspin I-Team: What's The Story Behind Cole Hamels's Giant Bulge?

Phillies center fielder Shane Victorino puts on an annual fashion show to raise money for his foundation, which seems like a pretty neat thing to do. There are models, glitz, glamour, and a lot of Phillies players dressed up in fancy clothes. What a time!

This year's fashion show took place last night, and the best thing to come out of the event is definitely this collection of awkward photos featuring Cole Hamels in capri pants and looking like a weirdo.

No photograph is more important, however, than the one you see above.

That's Hamels, second from the right, with a very large bulge in the pelvic region of his strawberry capris. The boys at Crossing Broad claim to have gotten a tip from someone who was at the event, claiming that Hamels stuffed a sock down his pants as a joke, hence the bulge.

We reached out to the Phillies for comment, but they have not yet responded.
