Defending Gold Medalist Diver Scores A Perfect Zero
Image via NBC Ilia Zakharov won the gold medal in the 3m springboard event at the 2012 Olympics. He made it all the way to the semi-finals at this year’s games, and that’s where his quest to win back-to-back golds went very wrong.
On his fourth dive of the day, Zakharov did this:
I’m no professional diving judge, but I’m pretty sure top-flight Olympic divers aren’t supposed to enter the pool like this:
