DeMarcus Cousins Has The Quote Of All-Star Weekend

DeMarcus Cousins has an ugly game. He’s a pouting tornado of elbows and snarls, who tramples over opponents instead of going over or around them. He looks so mad on the court, so the second-time all-star is no doubt enjoying his time up in Toronto away from the Sacramento Kings Circus.

The Sacramento Bee caught up with the big man and asked him about why he always looks mad, his week off, and his ascendance to stardom. He said the reason why people think he’s always mad is because, well, just like his game, he’s ugly:

Cousins said it’s not his fault his look unsettles others, explaining it as only he could.

“I’m an ugly dude,” he said. “I really can’t help how my face looks. You’re just gonna have to take it. Some people like it, some people don’t. It’s just my face.”

“If I was shorter, I don’t think I’d be intimidating,” Cousins said. “They’d be like, ‘That’s a little ugly person.’ Because I’m big, intimidating.”

The best thing you can do in this situation? Get a cute dog.
