Did Evgeni Malkin Miss Last Night's Game Because Of A Sunburn?
No. That did not actually happen. But for a while there Saturday evening, it sure looked like it might actually be the reason Malkin would miss Pittsburgh's game against the Florida Panthers.
The Penguins quickly snuffed out that story when they confirmed Malkin would be sitting out the game, but noted that he aggravated an existing upper body injury. Another Penguins official said Malkin would have been in the lineup if it was a playoff game and that he should be ready to go for Pittsburgh's game against the Montreal Canadiens on Wednesday.
A pity, really. "OUT- SUNBURN" could have provided some much-need company for " DND - OLD" in the ridiculous-injury-list-descriptions clubhouse.
