Dimitri Payet Is Still An Animal
This isn’t even a dedicated Dimitri Payet individual highlight video and yet it’s still composed almost entirely of West Ham’s superstud going all best mode all over Blackburn in the FA Cup this weekend. And that’s because any time the Hammers do something cool, you can bet Payet will be at the center.
It’s hard to pick which moment was the most impressive, from his inch-perfect free kick goal—which he won, fittingly enough, by squeezing himself and the ball between two defenders before getting chopped down—to his flipped through ball that beat Blackburn’s midfield and defensive lines en route to sending Emmanuel Emenike through on goal, to his little backheel flick-on that allowed him to run around one defender, sprint down the left wing, cut past another into the center of the box, and after running a good 50 or so yards, score his second on the day. Luckily, we can enjoy them all.
