Garcia, 38, has not pitched since May 27 because of a right adductor strain.
He has appeared in 26 games this season and is 2-0 with a 4.50 ERA, striking out 23 batters in 26 innings. The Dodgers are his seventh team since he debuted in 2013, and he has a career 28-28 record with a 4.16 ERA in 571 games (four starts).
Klein threw two scoreless innings in the Dodgers' 8-1 win over the Colorado Rockies on Wednesday, giving up two hits and striking out three.
He made two appearances for the Dodgers, throwing 3 2/3 scoreless innings.
Los Angeles acquired Klein, 25, in a June 2 trade that sent left-hander Joe Jacques to the Seattle Mariners.
