Dolphins WR River Cracraft likely to miss start of season

Miami Dolphins wide receiver River Cracraft likely will miss the start of the regular season with an upper-body injury.
He will be out "some time for sure" but it doesn't appear to be season-ending, coach Mike McDaniel said Monday.
The Dolphins also reportedly signed former Pittsburgh Steelers running back Anthony McFarland on Monday.
Cracraft, 29, was injured in Saturday's 13-6 preseason win against the Washington Commanders. He caught two passes for 29 yards, including a 13-yard touchdown from Tua Tagovailoa in the first quarter.
Cracraft caught nine passes for 121 yards and one TD in 10 games (one start) for the Dolphins in 2023.
He has 25 catches for 308 yards and three scores in 45 career games (two starts) with the Denver Broncos (2018-19), San Francisco 49ers (2020-21) and Dolphins.
Cracraft has been competing for the No. 3 receiver spot behind Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle. Odell Beckham Jr. remains sidelined with an undisclosed injury and is not expected to practice this week, McDaniel said Monday.
KPRC2 reported the Dolphins signed McFarland, who played in 17 games across four seasons with the Steelers, rushing for 146 yards in limited action. The Steelers selected him in the fourth round of the 2020 draft.
