Vasquez-Imagn Images Leo Carlsson scored the go-ahead goal and Cutter Gauthier added two assists as the Anaheim Ducks edged the visiting San Jose Sharks 3-1 on Tuesday night.
Troy Terry and Alex Killorn had the other Anaheim goals. Lukas Dostal made 27 saves for his third win of the season - his second against the Sharks.
The Ducks snapped a two-game losing skid.
Mikael Granlund scored for San Jose, and MacKenzie Blackwood stopped 37 shots for the Sharks, who remained the lone winless team in the NHL after the Nashville Predators picked up a 4-0 win over the Boston Bruins on Tuesday.
San Jose trailed 1-0 into the third period until Granlund's wrist shot from the point deflected off Ducks defenseman Jackson Lacombe and past Dostal on a power play at 4:55.
Anaheim retook the lead 41 seconds later on a power play as Carlsson poked home the rebound off Gauthier's shot. It was Carlsson's third of the season.
Killorn added an empty-netter with 1:51 remaining in the game.
Terry opened the scoring on a power play, beating Blackwood high glove side for his fourth of the season at 6:56 of the second period. Terry has points in five straight games (four goals and one assist).
Anaheim outshot San Jose 14-9 in the opening period, but the Sharks had the better scoring chances.
Seven minutes in, Danil Gushchin thought he had put the Sharks on the board when he redirected Alexander Wennberg's feed past Dostal, but the puck hit the crossbar and the post.
Two minutes later, Luke Kunin had a chance, beating Dostal but also hitting the post. Will Smith finished off a 2-on-1 chance at 13:11 but couldn't get his shot up and over the left pad of an outstretched Dostal.
Tuesday was the second of three meetings between the two teams. The Ducks opened their season by blanking the Sharks 2-0 on Oct. 12. The teams conclude the season series on April 1 in Anaheim.
