Dude Wins $15 Million In Poker, Does Not Seem All That Jazzed About It
Daniel Colman won the final table of the The Big One for One Drop—the same poker tournament that featured this gut-punch of a bad beat—and he came away with more than $15 million in prize money. Despite this, Colman did not seem all that excited about his victory!
Colman looks like a guy who is hanging out at the DMV rather than a guy who just became very rich, and his seemingly somber attitude doesn't appear to have just been the effect of nerves. After he won the tournament, which actually wrapped up last month but didn't air until last night, Colman had some depressing things to say about poker. From Onlinepoker.net:
First off, I don't owe poker a single thing. I've been fortunate enough to benefit financially from this game, but I have played it long enough to see the ugly side of this world. It is not a game where the pros are always happy and living a fulfilling life. To have a job where you are at the mercy of variance can be insanely stressful and can lead to a lot of unhealthy habits.
I mean, he's not wrong, but he just won $15 million! Crack a smile or something, bro.
