Dustin Ackley Unmoved By His Own Home Run-Robbing Catch
Dustin Ackley was kicked out of second base when Robinson Cano signed with the Seattle Mariners, but last night against the Mets, he proved to be a fine left fielder.
Ackley made a beautiful catch to take away Travis d'Arnaud's homer in the top of the sixth. His glove was very much over the wall, but he hung on for the out. The replays make the highlight better.
The funniest part was how Ackley celebrated, because he didn't. Maybe he was out of breath, but all Ackley could muster was a nod towards the pitcher's mound as he walked back to his spot. Give yourself a little more credit than that, man.
