Eagles Lineman Jason Peters Didn't Know Nick Foles Got Hurt
Eagles quarterback Nick Foles exited today's game in the first quarter with a collarbone injury after a tackle by Whitney Mercilus; former Jets hostage Mark Sanchez replaced him. Jason Peters, however, didn't immediately know about the switch, so he was in for a shock when he realized Foles didn't throw that sweet, 52-yard pass to Jeremy Maclin.
From CSNPhilly:
"Actually, I didn't even know Foles was out," Jason Peters said. "Threw that bomb to Maclin and I turned around to congratulate [Foles] and it was Sanchez. I didn't even know [Foles] was out until then. I started looking for him, but he went in for X-rays."
Maybe Peters was really focused on his job.
The Eagles won anyway, but Foles could be out for a while with his collarbone injury. Peters might have to get more acquainted with Sanchez.
