Mandatory Credit: Jay Biggerstaff-Imagn Images Philadelphia Eagles right tackle Lane Johnson made an early exit due to a neck injury Sunday and said after the 33-26 victory over the visiting Los Angeles Rams that he had a stinger and expects to play next week, the Philadelphia Inquirer reported.
Matt Pryor replaced Johnson, a six-time Pro Bowl selection, in the first quarter. Multiple reports said Johnson sustained the injury while blocking on Jalen Hurts' 1-yard "tush push" touchdown that gave Philadelphia a 7-0 lead with 8:07 left in the first quarter.
The Eagles (3-0) visit the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (3-0) next Sunday.
Johnson, 35, is a two-time first-team All-Pro and two-time Super Bowl champion. Sunday marked his 161st career start since the Eagles drafted him fourth overall in 2013.
Eagles cornerback Adoree Jackson sustained a groin injury during the fourth quarter and did not return, and wide receiver Darius Cooper was ruled out due to a shoulder injury.
