Eastern Illinois RB Accused Of Robbing A Jimmy John's Delivery Man At Knifepoint, Takes Great Mug Shot
Bobby Pettis hasn't played a game for FCS Eastern Illinois, sitting out the 2012 season after transferring from D-II. He might not suit up in 2013 either.
From the Charleston, Ill., police department's Facebook page:
On March 22nd, 2013 at approximately 0301 hrs, officers were dispatched to the 2000 blk of Bostic Drive in regards to a report of an Armed Robbery. It was reported to officers that a driver for Jimmy John’s sandwich shop was robbed at knifepoint of cash.
The victim reported that as he was delivering a sandwich he was approached from behind and had what he believed was a knife pressed into his side and relieved of his cash. Officers investigating the incident arrested Robert Joseph Pettis II, a 21 year old Eastern Illinois University Student for [Aggravated] Robbery. Pettis was placed into Coles County Jail pending a court appearance.
No word on the fate of the sandwich.
H/t Joseph
