End of the Line for Curtis Martin?
Nice - if, you know, it turns out to be true - scoop from the Newark Star-Ledger:
The Jets' future Hall of Fame running back Curtis Martin won't play this season because of a bone-on-bone condition in his right knee and his career is likely over, several players and a team official told The Star-Ledger yesterday.
We've been burned by the paper before, but if this is right, it's kind of depressing. We have a hard time even remembering New York football without Martin (yes, yes, the Patriots, blah blah blah) and Tiki Barber in it; it'll be sad to see them both out.
