Dwyane Wade: Kind Of Fun To Watch
This image was lost some time after publication, but you can still view it [object Object] . This mighty pretty Getty Images photo, taken during one of Dwyane Wade's many free throws tonight, pretty much sums up everything we just saw: Everywhere we looked, there was Dwyane Wade, and there was Dwayne Wade only.
The final score was Miami 98, Dallas 96, but the real numbers were Wade's: 42 points and 13 rebounds, including one late from which he appeared to have been dropped from the rafters. The Heat looked absolutely done halfway through that fourth quarter, and then Wade went all — yes — Jordan on the Mavericks. Add in two oddly pretty Shaquille O'Neal late free throws and a massively clutch Gary Payton (???!!!) jumper ... and the NBA Finals are Finals-worthy again. Thankfully.
