Man, That Commenting Feature Is Totally ####
So after all the fun everybody had with ESPN "Conversation" last week, we thought we'd check back in today and see how it was all going over there. And we found something fascinating: They have a program that specifically censors the word "gay."
No, seriously, they do: You can find it in this LZ Granderson column about John Amaechi. Even though the column — well written, though we're not sure we buy the initial premise — features sentences like "I am so over gay people," "commenters" find the word "gay" being translated as "####." No, really, it does.
So, this could be a fun game: What words can you say on "ESPN Conversation," and which can't you? If anybody has a commenting "account" over there, this might be an enjoyable way to spend an afternoon.
