Pete Rose Spends His Mondays Alone In Vegas
This image was lost some time after publication. In response to our Pete Rose item yesterday, a reader sends us this missive from Las Vegas:
Walking through Caesar's Palace in Vegas Monday, and I see a couple of young, scruffy types holding up 10x12 placards saying, "Pete Rose signing here today" outside of some memorabilia shop. Curious, I decided to walk over to the shop to see what kind of a fuss Rose was stirring inside.
Shockingly, one of the greatest players in the history of baseball, was seated in a folding chair at some plastic table outside of the store, drawing the interest of exactly nobody. Strangely, Rose was wearing all white. (They wanted you to go in the store, buy something, and have the gambler sign it). I waited about five minutes ... not one person approached him.
The reader's full report after the jump. Is it possible that Pete has actually sold everything anyone would be willing to buy? Then what happens?

In defense of the pride and joy of Cincinnati (apologies to Nick Lachey), Caesar's on a Monday (hell, all of Vegas) is a ghosttown of foreign tourists and senior citizens, so that may explain the lack of interest.
Oh, and for what it's worth, he was as ornery as ever.
