Shane Matthews Is Causing You Phone Spam
It's becoming difficult to tell all these new upstart football leagues apart. There's Mark Cuban's, there's the other AFL, there's that weird one with Maurice Clarett that never got off the ground ... there's just a ton of them.
The one many think has the best chance of succeeding is The All-American Football League (TAAFL!), which features players being assigned to teams from their home states. And if you happen to live in the area, they're actually soliciting you to attend their open scrimmages over the phone. As anyone who has bought a ticket to a Mets game online in the last two years knows, sometimes teams will call you with ticket specials. ("Hey, Will, this is Frank from the Mets. We've got plenty of seats available for this weekend's games. Come see the Mets excitement!") But those don't feature Shane Matthews in a 7-on-7 passing scrimmage. Come one, come all.
