Ex-NHLer, Current TSN Analyst Aaron Ward Arrested For Domestic Assault
Aaron Ward played in the NHL for 13 seasons with the Red Wings, Hurricanes, Bruins, Rangers, and Ducks, and he won three Stanley Cups. He is currently a hockey analyst for TSN, but he was suspended yesterday evening, after he was arrested and charged with assault and interfering with emergency communication in Cary, N.C.
His wife Kelly was also charged with assault, but that charge has since been rescinded. Police were called to the house just after 1 p.m. yesterdaym, according to WNCN.
Ward must spend 48 hours in jail, as is mandatory in Wake County. TSN released a statement, saying:
We are aware of the situation and the seriousness of the charges. As a result, Aaron Ward will not appear on-air until further notice.
