Florida State Gave Its Football Team Meaningless State Championship Rings
Florida State’s football team didn’t win a national title, conference championship, or bowl game last season, but the players earned a ring anyway for the distinction of being good in Florida. Congratulations to the good Florida team.
Since FSU beat Miami, Florida, and South Florida, they were considered the best college football team in Florida, by FSU. Central Florida, Florida International, and Florida Atlantic didn’t play the Seminoles and apparently weren’t considered to be in the running, but that’s okay, because they all sucked in 2015.
The side of the ring acknowledges the team’s trip to the Peach Bowl. FSU lost to Houston, 38-24.
