Flyers' Brayden Schenn Injured By Vicious Hit From Tom Wilson
Tom Wilson of the Washington Capitals took Flyers forward Brayden Schenn out of the game with a brutal hit that sent Schenn flying into the boards, injuring him.
Watching the video, Wilson speeds up to catch up to Schenn as he turns. It's textbook charging. The scariest part is on the replay, seeing Schenn attempt to skate away and falling down not once, but twice.
Wilson was hit with a five-minute major for charging, served by Jay Beagle, and a game misconduct, taking him out of the game.
Schenn did not return to the game. The Flyers ruled him out with an "upper-body injury."
Update: Brendan Shanahan chose not to suspend Wilson. Here's his explanation.
