The Philadelphia Flyers signed defenseman David Jiricek to a two-year, $3 million contract extension Wednesday.

Jiricek, 22, joined Philadelphia in a March 6 trade that sent forward Bobby Brink to the Minnesota Wild. He has yet to play for the Flyers.

He has since recorded 10 points (two goals, eight assists) in 10 games with Philadelphia's AHL affiliate, the Lehigh Valley Phantoms.

A first-round draft pick (sixth overall) by Columbus in 2022, Jiricek has recorded 13 points (two goals, 11 assists) in 84 career games with the Blue Jackets and Wild.
