Former FAMU Player Killed By Police Was Shot 10 Times
Charlotte-Mecklenburg police said today that officer Randall Kerrick, who faces manslaughter charges, fired 12 rounds at Jonathan Ferrell, striking him 10 times.
Ferrell, a former Florida A&M football player, was unarmed when killed by police early Saturday morning. He had crashed his car and sought help by knocking on the door of a nearby house, and the homeowner, believing he was a robber, called 911.
