Former Wrestling Star Chyna Dead At 45
Photo via [object Object] Former pro wrestling star Joanie “Chyna” Laurer was found dead in her home today, according to her manager. She was 45 years old. Her official Twitter and Facebook accounts both confirmed the news:
It is with deep sadness to inform you today that we lost a true icon, a real life superhero. Joanie Laurer aka Chyna, the 9th wonder of the world has passed away. She will live forever in the memories of her millions of fans and all of us that loved her.

Later, Pro Wrestling Sheet reported that her manager confirmed she was found dead at her home today (April 20, 2016) and that she’s been on medication for both anxiety and sleep deprivation, though it’s unclear if either played any part in her death. Her cause of death is unclear at this time, though that report also says “people close to her are worried her personal demons got the best of her.
