Four Auburn Players Arrested On Robbery Charges
Four Auburn football players—Antonio Goodwin, Shaun Kitchens, Mike McNeil and Dakota Mosley—were arrested today and charged with burglary, robbery, and theft of property, after an incident this morning.
Auburn coach Gene Chizik has "permanently dismissed" all of them from the team. McNeil, a safety, started 7 games as a junior last season and was expected to start this year. Kitchens, Goodwin, and Mosley were all freshmen who played sparingly or not at all for Auburn last year.
Writes David Morrison of OAnow:
Police say they responded to a report of a robbery on the 2300 block of Wire Road at approximately 12:25 a.m. Friday, where five victims reported that "three black males entered the residence with one displaying a handgun."
Personal property was stolen during the incident, and no injuries were reported.
No word on whether any laptops were taken. That would be unconscionable.
