Mandatory Credit: Kelley L Cox-Imagn Images After both teams breezed through the semifinals with sweeps, something had to give when FURIA and Sentinels faced off Friday at the League of Legends 2026 Americas Cup upper-bracket final in Sao Paulo.
That something was Sentinels.
FURIA had little trouble with Sentinels, winning 3-0 to advance to the grand final.
The four-team, double-elimination tournament included the second- and third-place finishers from the League Championship Series Lock-In and the Campeonato Brasileiro de League of Legends Cup. The winners of the latter two events qualified for the First Stand Tournament, scheduled for next week, also in Sao Paulo.
FURIA won all three maps playing on red, winning in 41, 41 and 33 minutes. Andrey "Ayu" Saraiva led all-Brazilian FURIA with a 23-7-26 kill-death-assist ratio while Arthur "Tutsz" Peixoto Machado added an 18-6-23 K-D-A ratio in the win. American Isaac "DARKWINGS" Chou led Sentinels at 14-10-12.
Sentinels will next face Cloud9 in the lower-bracket final on Saturday.
The winner will play FURIA on Sunday for the championship.
