The Tribeca Film Festival in New York City is a yearly event that shows a few experimental films and a lot of big premieres of "arty" Hollywood productions. And this year, they've got a special guest: ESPN!
The four-letter guys are showing 14 films in the "sports film festival" segment, and they sound enthralling. Some highlights:
• Doubletime. A look at the world of competitive jump roping • The Final Season. The last year of high school baseball in Norway, Iowa • The First Saturday In May. The path of six horses, including Barbaro, to the Kentucky • Unstrung. A documentary on the juniors tennis world.
Sorry: If it doesn't involve Stuart Scott, David Blaine and the possibility of a man drowning, we ain't watching.
