Get To Know A Comic You Probably Don't Know: Jessica Kirson

Who? Jessica Kirson started in New York. She's big but never uses it to self-pity or incur sympathy. She uses it to destroy. The hardest comics to follow on a show are the ones that change the rhythm of a room. A one-liner comic throws off the pattern for the comedians that follow because the audience adapted to that delivery and it will take a few minutes to reset. Jessica, and high energy comics like her, are just as difficult to follow.

Where may I have seen her? Last Comic Standing, The Tonight Show and Premium Blend. (Comedy Central reboots their entry level stand-up show every few years. Not sure if Live! At Gotham is ever coming back but something will take its place.)

Where can I see more? Jess is a regular at the Comedy Cellar on MacDougal Street in the West Village. Every night at the Comedy Cellar is a murderers' row of comics.
