Ghanaian Reporter Boos Soccer Team, Almost Gets Beat Up
Ghana did not exactly get the World Cup showing they wanted, seeing as how they failed to make it out of the group stage and almost melted down entirely when Ghanaian soccer officials started getting slapped for not paying the players. On their way out of Brazil, the players and one unruly reporter teamed up for one last moment to be not so proud of.
From The New York Times:
In a final ugly turn after the game, the Ghanaian players emerged from the locker room en masse and refused to speak to reporters. When a Ghanaian reporter booed the group, forward Asamoah Gyan acted as if he wanted to fight the man and had to be restrained by teammates.
There's a non-zero chance that a similar scene plays out after a Knicks game at some point next season.
