Giannis Antetokounmpo Denied By Older, Smaller Opponent
Giannis Antetokounmpo turned in another monstrous night against the Cavs, scoring 40 points on 16-21 shooting. But this was not one of his finer moments. The Greek Freak looked guaranteed to score when he got the ball right under the basket, with only Dwyane Wade anywhere near him.
However, the savvy veteran humbled the young beast, as Wade’s 13-year age advantage proved superior to Giannis’s seven-inch edge in height. The old man jumped at the right time and knocked away the ball cleanly, sending the youth to the ground in a lanky puddle of naive humiliation.
Despite his game-high point total, more shame was to befall Antetokounmpo. The Cavs won by five, and the Freak fouled out right at the end.
