Giants to add ex-Falcons K Younghoe Koo

The New York Giants are adding former Atlanta Falcons kicker Younghoe Koo to their practice squad.
Giants kicker Graham Gano suffered a groin injury on Sunday in pregame warmups prior to their 22-9 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs.
Gano made a 25-yard field goal against the Chiefs, but was pushing the limit of his range and pain tolerance. The Giants called on punter Jamie Gillan to attempt an extra-point attempt, which failed.
The Falcons released Koo, 31, on Sept. 19 after a rough start to the season.
In the season opener, a 23-20 loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Koo missed a 44-yard try in the closing seconds. He was inactive Week 2 against the Minnesota Vikings, replaced by the newly signed Parker Romo.
Koo joined the Falcons in 2019 and went on to become one of the NFL's most reliable kickers. He was a Pro Bowl selection in 2020 after leading the league with 37 made field goals on 39 attempts.
He left the Falcons as the franchise's third all-time leading scorer with 700 points, trailing only Matt Bryant and Morten Andersen.
