Giants WR Malik Nabers set to play in Jaxson Dart's debut
New York Giants wide receiver Malik Nabers (1) looks at a ball that was meant for him as he gets ready to fall in the end zone, in the fourth quarter, Sunday, September 21, 2025. Kansas City Chiefs cornerback Nohl Williams (20) and Kansas City Chiefs safety Bryan Cook (6) is shown on Nabers' sides. New York Giants wide receiver Malik Nabers will take the field as rookie quarterback Jaxson Dart makes his first NFL start on Sunday against the Los Angeles Chargers in East Rutherford, N.J.
Nabers did not receive an injury designation from the Giants on Friday after he turned in consecutive limited practices. He is dealing with an ailing shoulder.
Nabers, 22, leads New York in receptions (16), receiving yards (251) and receiving touchdowns (two) in three games this season.
He set an NFL rookie-record with 109 catches last season, which also was a franchise mark for the Giants.
Nabers totaled 1,204 yards and seven touchdowns in 15 games (13 starts) last season en route to being named to the Pro Bowl.
The Giants selected Nabers with the sixth overall pick of the 2024 NFL Draft out of LSU.
While Nabers is good to go, the Giants (0-3) ruled out running back Tyrone Tracy Jr. (shoulder), defensive lineman Chauncey Golston (ankle) and kicker Graham Gano (groin).
Defensive lineman Rakeem Nunez-Roches (foot) is listed as doubtful to face the unbeaten Chargers (3-0).
