Gilbert Arenas Busted With Truck Full Of Illegal Fireworks

Agent Zero was allegedly out for a leisurely, 80-mph drive in his Ford pickup around 2:30 this morning when he was pulled over by police somewhere in Los Angeles. Now, an ordinary speeding ticket would be no big deal, but Gilbert Arenas is never ordinary: The cops discovered he was driving with a suspended license, and that his truck was stuffed with several boxes of illegal fireworks.

Or, as TMZ puts it with its typical restraint, "A TON OF ILLEGAL FIREWORKS":

It's unclear exactly how much fireworks were in the truck, but it was enough that the LAPD bomb squad was called to handle the illegal booty.

Our camera guy counted around 20 boxes being unloaded ... very carefully.

Arenas, who spent last season playing in China, was released without having to post bail. TMZ says he had "100 POUNDS" of fireworks in the truck, but was only charged with misdemeanor possession.
