Lexi Minix gets hit by a South Bend Washington player (12_28_13)

Things got chippy last night at a high school basketball game where Skylar Diggins, the former Notre Dame star now playing for the WNBA's Tulsa Shock, was in attendance to have her jersey retired. One player punched another in the face and got ejected, all while Diggins sniped at her former team's opponents and their fans from the bleachers.

Diggins's former Washington High School (Ind.) was facing Oregon-Davis (Ind.) when Lexi Minix, a player from Oregon-Davis, shoved a Washington player after the whistle. The Washington player smacked Minix in the face, and Minix fell to the floor. That prompted coaches, referees, and other adults to rush the court before things got out of hand. Others, as seen in the bottom right of the video above, made everything worse.

Kelsey Minix—Lexi's cousin and herself a former player at Oregon-Davis—was at the game and used Twitter to voice her thoughts about the officiating and Washington.

According to Minix, Diggins wasn't exactly quiet during the incident.

And eventually, Minix and Diggins argued, throwing around the word "class."

Lexi also talked about Skylar's behavior on Twitter, backing up Kelsey's accusations and claiming that Diggins told Lexi's sister off.
