Goalie Makes Behind-The-Back Glove Save
Be sure to watch the entire clip to catch all the angles. Drew MacIntyre is a goalie for the Toronto Marlies, the AHL affiliate for the Toronto Maple Leafs. At the time MacIntyre made the save, the Marlies were tied 3-3 with the Rochester Americans in the second period of the opening game of their playoff series. They would go on to beat the Americans 6-3.
Rochester's Zemgus Girgensons looked to have an easy one-timer when MacIntyre just swung his glove behind his back and snagged the puck. Was it definitely going in? It's hard to say, you highlight-reel killjoy. Glove saves always look awesome, though, whether the shot was off-target or not and this was a behind-the-back glove save.
