God, Not More Sports Bloggers Talking To Each Other
If you wanted proof that the people who write all of these sports blogs actually know how to read, New Yorkers can find it tonight at the Varsity Letters reading series, hosting by Gelf Magazine. We won't believe it until we see it.
Anyway, we're not sure how they're gonna handle the hyperlinks, but there's a gaggle smattering of pasty white fellows talking about whatever the hell it is they do, including Henry Abbott from True Hoop, Matt Ufford from With Leather, Dan Shanoff, the duo of Faith And Fear In Flushing and, most awesomely, the gang from The Dugout. We'll be there too, drinking and hoping nobody makes fun of our stretch pants. Sure, they're respected by no one and barely making a living ... but sports bloggers can feel important when they gather!
So, you know, if you're in NYC, come on by. Drinks are reasonably priced, for New York, anyway.
