Gotham FC transfer F Gabi Portilho to San Diego Wave

Mandatory Credit: Amber Searls-Imagn Images Gotham FC transferred Brazilian forward Gabi Portilho to the San Diego Wave on Monday in exchange for $175,000 in intraleague transfer funds.
Portilho, 30, tallied three goals and three assists in 17 regular-season games last season and helped Gotham win the 2025 NWSL Championship and Concacaf W Champions Cup.
"Gabi has been an important part of our club's success since she joined us, and we're thankful for everything she brought to Gotham FC," general manager Yael Averbuch West said. "We wish her all the best as she moves forward in her career."
Portilho played five seasons with the Brazilian side Corinthians (2020-24) before joining Gotham. Internationally, she helped Brazil win the 2022 Copa America Femenina and the silver medal at the 2024 Paris Olympics.
