Grizzlies G Marcus Smart (finger) out at least 6 weeks

Memphis Grizzlies guard Marcus Smart is expected to miss at least six weeks due to an injury to his right ring finger, the team announced Thursday.
Smart sustained the injury during the third quarter of the Grizzlies' 120-103 victory over the Dallas Mavericks on Tuesday. That was one day after the team announced star guard Ja Morant (shoulder) is out for the season.
Smart was diagnosed with a rupture of the proximal interphalangeal joint central slip, according to the team.
Smart, 29, is averaging 14.5 points, 4.3 assists and 2.7 rebounds in 20 games (all starts) this season. The former Defensive Player of the Year is in his first season with Memphis after being acquired from the Boston Celtics.
The Grizzlies (14-23) likely will lean on Desmond Bane, Luke Kennard and even Derrick Rose in his absence.
