Grizzlies' Ja Morant lashes out at coaching staff after loss

Mandatory Credit: Petre Thomas-Imagn Images Memphis Grizzlles All-Star guard Ja Morant took aim at his own coaches when asked about his struggles during the team's 117-112 loss to the Los Angeles Lakers on Friday night.
Morant went 3-for-14 from the floor -- and 0-for-6 from 3-point range -- en route to being limited to just eight points in the setback.
When asked about what he noticed about the game, Morant told reporters to "go ask the coaching staff."
He repeated a similar version of that answer on four separate occasions before being asked what could've been done differently to get a better outcome in the game.
"According to them, probably don't play me, honestly," Morant said. "That's basically what the message was after (the game). It's cool."
Morant is averaging 20.8 points and 6.7 assists while logging a career-low 28.5 minutes through six games under Grizzlies coach Tuomas Iisalo. The latter took over for Taylor Jenkins late last season.
