Here Is The Much-Ballyhooed Ubaldo Jimenez Plunking Of Troy Tulowitzki

Earlier this afternoon, tensions ran high between the Cleveland Indians and the Colorado Rockies when Ubaldo Jimenez drilled his former teammate, Troy Tulowitzki. Tulo immediately dropped his bat and made toward the mound and Jimenez decided to meet him halfway. Benches cleared and not much else happened, but here is another view with the aftermath.

There have been rumors of bad blood between the two and this latest incident seems to confirm those rumors. There were no ejections, although Tulowitzki was removed for precautionary reasons, x-rays were negative.

Rockies manager Jim Tracy, however, added to fire with his quotes following the game.

"That's the most gutless act I've seen in 35 years of professional baseball. I've lost all respect for (Jimenez). ... All of it."

Jimenez has said his time in Cleveland is "heaven" compared to Colorado to which Tulowitzki responded:

"If someone doesn't want to be here," Tulowitzki told the Denver Post, "we always say, 'Please, go up to the manager and tell him you want to leave or that you don't think this is the best place for you.' That was kind of the case with him."

While the Rockies and Indians don't meet up this year (unless it's in the World Series) there is always 2013 when interleague play will be in effect year 'round.

Update 1:05 a.m.: Commissioner Bud Selig was reportedly in attendance for the game.
