Here Is Your Champions League Group Stage Draw

The Champions League playoff round finished up yesterday—Roma losing on aggregate 4-1 to Porto and Ajax losing 5-2 to Rostov were the most consequential results—which means we are on to the group stage! Here are the groups that were drawn today:

Some random thoughts on the draw:

Both Group B and Group E lack any of the traditional powers and also picked up some of the stronger pot three and four teams, so I wouldn’t be surprised to see any of the teams in those groups advance

Group C is both a brutal group—Borussia Mönchengladbach is is very good—and will feature the Pep Guardiola versus Barcelona match-up everybody wanted

Nice, Arsenal is set-up to make and then lose in the Round of 16 for the millionth straight year

I have absolutely no idea what will happen in Group G
