Rays shortstop Adeiny Hechavarría has nothing to offer but his defense—a career OPS of .627—but that defense can be really, really pretty. It definitely was in the first inning of tonight’s game against the Royals, as Hechavarría lept up to snare a Melky Cabrera liner before a quick toss to second that made a tricky double play look almost effortless:
