Here's Audio Of Hawks GM Danny Ferry's Racist Remarks About Luol Deng

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution has acquired an audio recording of the conference call with GM Danny Ferry's racist comments on Luol Deng, with Ferry saying the forward had "some African in him." The comment had previously surfaced in transcription after Hawks controlling owner Bruce Levenson offered the team for sale last Sunday.

At 1:10, Ferry talks about how Deng had "some African in him," which was mentioned in Hawks minority owner Michael Gearon's concerned email from June. Soon after the comment, you can hear someone on the call say Ferry's words might end up on TMZ. To our ears, it doesn't exactly sound like Ferry is reading from a scouting report, which was his defense for the comment.
