Here's Why Canada Should Lose its Baseball Privileges (Tha Remix)
Just when I thought the instant-classic " Brent Bowers Grabs Ankles, Repeatedly Calls Openly Gay Ref a Faggot" routine would be the last post about Edmonton-involved baseball, along came Thursday's Edmonton East Park Orioles game.
The O's had just beaten the Saint John All-Stars in a Canadian Senior Little League semifinal match. They'd been getting taunted by some yoots from French Canada. I cede my remaining time to the Montreal Gazette.
Moments after the final out, three Saint John players rushed into the stands to confront players from the Quebec representatives, Les Elites de Valleyfield, who had been taunting them throughout the game.
Patricia Bryson, 70, was trampled in the melee and taken to Saint John Regional Hospital in a neck brace.
"There were fists going everywhere and some lady got pushed out of the stands and fell right on her head," Edmonton head coach Greg Olson said after the game.
